JOKE of THE daY!

Overslept today. So I had to bring Josiah to school by public transport cos we missed the time for school transport (yikes!)

Stayed on to see how Jojo is when they start off with worship & thanksgiving/ testimony everyday. Then when it was time for lessons and they came out, he caught sight of me and went in his gentlest voice "Mama..." (with a smile)

Jojo's classmate: Auntie! (aiyoyo!)...but thats not the joke...akan datang...

I gave him a kiss and just when I turn around, ready to walk off, i heard his classmate asking him...

Jojo's classmate: Is she your sister or mother...?!?!

Wuahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodbye to 2008...Hello! 2009!!!

Just got back from our Corps watchnight service...

Started off with fellowship time with the corps folks, something which we have not had for a long time. Majs' games were pretty fun and engaging!

Service proper started at 11.15pm with worshipful songs, followed by a couple of testimonies, then come short prayer. Right after we greeted everyone, most headed off for supper!

Well honestly, it's not quite what i hoped for, so I stayed behind to read Eccl 3 which Maj K shared during the service...then went forward to spend some quiet moment with God, giving thanks for His providence and blessings for 2008, surrendering all my baggages and emptying my vessel before him before I embrace 2009. It was a tearful moment cos much have happened in my life that I nearly lost my footings even!

But God has graciously blessed me with wonderful angels to guide me, strengthen me and support me and I am just so thankful to these spiritual leaders/ mentors and friend who stood by me. Thank you!...One other thing to praise God...my bestie actually prayed with me at the mercy seat! Deep down in me was like "O God, You are amazing! Thank you!" (cos I thought I lost her...was disappointed at how things took a turn over circumstance and sad to think that our friendship could not withstand any storms of life. But tonight's prayer together brings hope and it's a good start!)

Have yet to set my resolution for this new year...in fact I have not done so for a couple of years already, so need to get started now so I will have something to look forward to...just like me making more intentional effort to cook for the family comes from the motivation of beloved Josiah who would tell me in his innocence "Mama, please cook ok? I like to eat what you cook..." how can I ever turn down someone who appreciates me for who I am?!? So ya, with motivation comes the driving force...hahaha...

Lots of thoughts in mind to pen down...but also kinda zonk out already...so will blog again and share more...stay tuned...thanks for reading by the way.

God bless you in this new year! & embrace it with God's Love, Joy, Peace & HOPE!
